Chlamydia Screening
Available to all 15-24 year olds registered at the surgery. Getting tested for Chlamydia is quick, simple and confidential. It’s just a simple urine test and you’ll receive your result back within a fortnight. If the test shows you have Chlamydia, don’t worry, as it can be treated with one dose of antibiotics.

All family planning services are offered in normal surgery times.
We offer confidential advice and information about contraception and sexual health.
We provide a range of services including:

- The combined oral contraceptive pill
- The progestogen-only pill
- Progestogen injections
- Limited supplies of free condoms
- Free emergency contraception
- Confidential advice about STIs
- Cervical screening
- Unplanned pregnancy advice
- Pre-conception advice and fertility awareness information
- Fitting and checking of coils and the Mirena coil
- Insertion and removal of the contraceptive implant/rod (Nexplanon)

Counselling
The surgery has access to two counselling services. Our counsellors provide a whole range of consulting techniques including supportive counselling, CBT, anger management and short course psychotherapy. Access to these services is a via a doctor’s referral.External Websites:

Stop Smoking Services
Quit4Covid
If you smoke, you have an increased risk of severe illness with COVID-19. Your doctor would like you to stop smoking as soon as possible. Contact Hertfordshire Health Improvement Service on 0800 389 3 998 OR text quit4covid to 80818 for telephone support and medication to quit smoking.

Stop Smoking Services
Any patient wishing to give up smoking can be seen at the surgery by our nurses and Healthcare assistant. They provide continued structured support and advice, giving patients the best opportunity to give up smoking.
The surgery now offers a stop smoking clinic on a Saturday Morning. If you are interested please make an appointment at reception.
The services we offer from the Practice can:
- Boost your willpower to stop smoking
- Concentrate your efforts by getting advice from someone who knows your medical background
- Help you feel that you’re not doing it alone
- Help you to cope when you are tempted to smoke
