WEEKDAYS

Consultations are by appointment only. Morning surgeries run from 8.00 or 8.30am. Afternoon surgeries run from 1.00, 2.00 or 3.00pm. Twice a week a surgery runs until 6.20pm. Full details of surgery times during the week can be obtained from reception. We offer double appointments if more than one problem needs to be discussed.

The surgery is open 8.30am - 12noon for patients who have a routine booked appointment for collection of prescriptions, for booking appointments and other enquiries. The phone lines are not open and patients who attend who do not have an appointment will not be seen. If patients need to be seen during this time as an emergency they need to phone the out-of-hours service as indicated below.

EVENING AND WEEKENDS

The surgery is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm. For urgent advice and treatment outside these hours the number to call is 03000 333 333. Herts Urgent Care will take these calls and will make a decision as to whether you require advice only, whether you need to visit our nearest primary care centre to see a doctor or they will arrange for a doctor or nurse to visit your home. Our two primary care centres for Hertsmere are Potters Bar Hospital and the Wellswood Centre in Borehamwood. These are open at various times during the week and at weekends and bank holidays. Patients are advised to keep a note of the out-of-hours number.
