HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A TELEPHONE CONSULTATION?

Telephone consultations can be booked with a doctor or nurse to discuss issues such as repeat prescriptions, minor illnesses, medical certificates, medical advice, results or any other issue which does not require an examination. Telephone consultations are booked in the same way as an ordinary consultation and are five minutes in duration. Patients will be given an appointment time for the doctor to ring. Patients are requested to ensure that they are available and that their phone line is not engaged at the time of the appointment.

HOW DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Patients are requested to ring the surgery (01707 644451) on the day that they wish to see the doctor. Patients who need a doctor's appointment, routine or urgent will be given one on the day they phone the surgery. Morning appointments (until 9.10am), some afternoon appointments and diabetic appointments can be booked four weeks in advance. All general nursing appointments can be booked in advance. Appointments are 10 minutes in duration and patients are requested only to bring one problem to one appointment. Double appointments can be booked on request. Tell us if you want someone to accompany you during an examination or if you wish a private room to discuss any matters.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?

Our doctors typically see four patients in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason we ask patients to come to the surgery if at all possible.

However, we can visit you at home if your condition means you cannot attend the practice. Please ring before 10.00am to arrange a visit and let us know if your condition is urgent.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN TEST RESULTS?

For the result of any test, phone the surgery on 01707 622979 between the hours of 2.00 and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

We are unable to give out results to anyone other than the patient.
